Dear ISSMGE national society president and secretaries,
As you are all aware, the first national assembly of the European society members of ISSMGE is being held from the 22nd to the 24th of November. While much of the event is dedicated to presentations and discussions with you, the national presidents, and secretaries of ISSMGE member countries, there is a seminar on the 2nd day that I would like to open up to the broader European ISSMGE community.
As Vice President for ISSMGE Europe, one of my objectives is to share knowledge and experiences between our European member societies, open up communications between our members and strengthen our European community and identity. To do so, I have taken the first step of what I hope will be regular events with a seminar titled “Innovation in Geotechnical Engineering.” Some great presenters have offered their time to the ISSMGE community to share their experiences and expertise on the topic. It would be fantastic if we could have members from across Europe join the online event to learn more and have the opportunity to ask questions of these presenters.
With this in mind, I have attached a flyer of the event with the hope that you will share it with your society members and we can make this the first of many engagements across Europe.
